Further update from the GC - 6th May
With the likelihood of the lock-down regulations being relaxed in the next few weeks, the GC is reviewing a number of measures to be able to get sailing as soon as is possible in-line with Government and RYA advice. Further details will be circulated once the situation becomes clearer. Note that the club will continue to ensure that the safety of all members is paramount, both on and off the water.
At the GC e-meeting on Tuesday night (5th May), we reviewed the situation regarding payment of fees for this year whilst we are all unable to sail. We intend to provide a rebate against next year’s fees, rather than repay anything this year. We will review how much rebate will be paid, dependent on how soon we are permitted and able to sail again. This will be agreed with members at the AGM in October. In the meantime, if there are any members who have a significantly changed and difficult financial situation as a result of COVID-19, then the GC are willing to review individuals on a case-by-case basis if they require a refund this year, rather than a rebate next year. Anyone who this affects, please make contact directly, and in confidence, to the Hon Treasurer (Neil Ballard) for further details.
