Watershed, an independent cinema and cafe/bar in the centre of Bristol, is screening a film soon called Maiden.
It’s a rousing adventure documentary about Tracy Edwards, who at the age of 24 became the skipper of the first all-female sailing crew to enter the Whitbread Round the World Race in 1989. It chronicles the times leading up to the race, and the 7 months they spent sailing round the world.
They are holding a preview screening on Thursday 7 March featuring a satellite Q&A with Tracy Edwards herself (which we are very excited about!), and will then be screening a run of the film from Friday 15th March. Tickets are only £5.00 for people aged 24 and under, and from £8.00 for a full price adult.
